Walter Garvey Sturgill

Walter Garvey Sturgill, Jr. 67, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday, June 23rd, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Metcalfe County, KY.

He was born in VA on March 25, 1954, son of Nancy (Smith) Sturgill, of Indianapolis, IN and the late Walter Garvey Sturgill, Sr.

He was a retired computer programer for Hewlett Packard.

He is survived by, Companion, Regena (Lyon) Proffitt of Tompkinsville, son, Stevan Sturgill, of Muncie, IN; 2 grandchildren, three sisters, Dawn Sturgill, wife of  Harold L. Hatfield, of Michigan; Karen G, wife of  Allen Lyon, of TN;  Robin K, wife of  Jim Maher, of Indiana; brother, Mike L Sturgill, of Indiana; extended family, Tim Proffit & wife Jennifer of Tompkinsville & Christy Simmons & husband Billy of Fountain Run.
 
Graveside services & burial will be 11 AM, Saturday, June 26th at the Monroe County Memorial Lawn. 

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
