Stephen "Steve" Genene Spear

 Stephen "Steve" Genene Spear, 68, of Gamaliel, passed away Monday, September 8th, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. 

 Steve was born in Tompkinsville, KY on September 24, 1956, a son of the late Nelline Frost and J.E. Spear, Sr. 

 He was a 1975 graduate of Gamaliel High School, played football in high school and a Diesel mechanic in the Nashville area working at Mid-Tenn Ford & retiring from Elliott Crane. 

Stephen is  survived by a daughter, Megan Hitt & Companion Rick Jessup of Celina, TN;  
 
He is also survived by 2 Grandchildren, Bailey Moss & Harley Hitt & many nieces & nephews. two sisters, Anita Brummett & Charlene Thompson, both of Tompkinsville, KY; two brothers, Chris, husband of  Tammy Spear, of Tompkinsville, KY;  Tony, husband of  Karen Spear, of Lebanon, TN. 
sisters-in-law, Eva Jane Spear of Etoile Community & Glaydelle Spear of Tompkinsville.
 
His Parents, J.E. Sr. & Nelline Spear, brothers, J.E. Jr., Bobby, & Joe, sister, Peggy Spear Cherry & neice & nephew, Sherry Jo Spear & Dennis Neal Cherry preceded him in death.

Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Saturday, September 13th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Brothers Jamie Thompson & Eric Copass will officiate.

Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Friday, September 12th and 8 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, September 13th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
