Shirley Jean (Ogden) Newlon

Shirley Jean Ogden Newlon, 78, of  Hopinksville, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 29th, at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.

Shirley was born in Clarksburgh, WV on August 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Myrtle (Tetrick) and Bertis Ogden.

She married Jesse Newlon in May of 1978 in Grafton, West Virigina.

Shirley worked as a LPN for 45 years. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY.

Shirley is  survived by two daughters, Charlotte Wilhelm, and husband, Clayton, of Dawson Springs, KY and Robin Lane, and husband, Brian of Youngstown, OH;  five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Shirley is also survived by a sister, Sue Shook, of Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Newlon; son, Donald Newlon; parents, Bertis and Myrtle Ogden; brother, Arley "Jack Ogden" Doak; and sisters, Betty Ryan and Peggy Moody.

No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
