Ruth E. Curtis, 90, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, April 21st, at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.
Ruth was born in Glasgow, KY on September 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Florence (Clarkson) and Raymond Claspell.
She was married to Kenneth W. Botts, and later to Ralph Curtis, and they both precede her in death.
Ruth was not shy to work, she was a restaurant owner, worked in dietary at the nursing home, worked at Dovie's, and had rental property and flipped houses. Ruth was baptized at Hillview Heights Church in Bowling Green, KY.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Krista Rich, of Tompkinsville, KY and Judy Vincent, of Scottsville, KY; and a son, Kenny Botts, and wife, Tina, of Alvaton, KY; 5 grandchildren, Greg Gerald (Dawayna), Ashley, Trey and Bryce Botts, and Matt Garvey; 2 great grandchildren, C.J. Blankenship (Kyle), and Jayden Botts and one great-great grandchild, Beckett Blankenship.
Ruth is also survived by a brother, Harold Claspell, of Indianapolis, IN.
Other than her husbands and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Harlan Claspell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Visitation is Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
