Roy Myatt Obituary
Roy William Myatt, 77, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Sunday, March 7th, at TJ Samson Hospital.
Roy was born in the Sulphur Lick Community of Monroe County on November 14, 1943, a son of the late Gladys (Martin) Myatt and Noel Myatt.
Roy was a 1962 graduate of Tompkinsville High School and all he ever wanted to do was farm and have dairy cattle. He loved his family, friends and enjoyed exhibiting dairy cattle. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Roy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Wax Myatt, of Tompkinsville, KY; a daughter and son-in-law, Marin and Jeff Brumett, of Russell Springs, KY; and a son,William Glenn Myatt, of Glasgow, KY; two grandchildren, Blair and Baylor Brumett.
Roy is also survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Bill Birge, of Tompkinsville, KY and Martha and Joe Hurt, of Summer Shade, KY; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Roger Myatt.
A walk-thru visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 9, from 4-8 PM, and Wednesday, March 10, from 8-11 AM, with funeral services to follow. Burial is in the White Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy's memory can be made to White Cemetery.
For the protection of Mr. Myatt's family it is kindly asked for anyone coming to the services to abide by Governor Beshears recommendation of wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. No public lounge is available at this time.
