Ronald "Peanut" Hagan, 95, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 5th, at Monroe County Medical Center.
"Peanut" was born in Tompkinsville, KY on July 22, 1925, a son of the late Effie (Carlock) and Bascal Hagan.
On April 1, 1950, he was united in marriage to Ruby Nell Newport in Gamaliel, KY by Bro. Masters.
He drove a Toms Route for 32 years, he proudly served in the Navy for 4 years and he was a faithful member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church for 70 years.
Ronald "Peanut" is survived by his wife, Ruby Nell Hagan, of Tompkinsville, KY; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Carolyn Hagan, of Scottsville, KY; three grandchildren, Christopher Michael Hagan, Sherry Kendall and LoAnne Calmes (Kelly); and two great grandchildren, Jonathan Cook and Devin Parekh (Raj).
Also surviving is a sister, Emma Jean Tyree (Riley), of Bowling Green KY. and a brother, Bascal Hagan, Jr., of Glasgow, KY.
He is preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jesse Kendall; brothers, George Frank Hagan and Dillard Hagan; two sisters, Doris Reecer and Blanch Hagan.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 8th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
Visitation with the family is Friday, 4-8 PM, and Saturday morning after 8:00 AM until service time at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial is in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Expressions of sympathy are requested to St. Jude Hospital.
