Reggie Chapman, 85, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, November 15th, at his home.
Reggie was born in Tompkinsville, KY on March 2, 1939, a son of the late May Belle (Strode) and Med Chapman.
Reggie was a farm machinery dealer for many years. He attended and was a Deacon at Mt. Poland Missionary Baptist Church. Reggie always enjoyed attending church.
He married Jessie Pearl (Humes) Chapman on September 2, 1961 at the Monroe County Courthouse.
Reggie and Jessie had three sons that survive, Tony Chapman, and wife, Lori, of Cub Run, KY, Teddy Chapman, and wife, Robbie, and Toby Chapman, and wife Lisa, all of Tompkinsville, KY; four grandchildren, Jessica Shaw, and husband, Jon, Nick Chapman, and wife Amanda, Will Chapman and Lauren Shirley, and husband, John; five great grandchildren, Abigail, Meleah, Madison, Makenzie, and Keaton.
Reggie is also survived by a sister, Catherine Hale and a brother, Roy Chapman, both of Tompkinsville, KY.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Pearl Chapman, parents, Med and May Belle Chapman, and a sister, Clarice Page.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Reggie's memory may be made to Skaggs Creek Cemetery.
