Rasmus Ford

Rasmus Ford, 89, of  Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Monroe County, KY, passed away Friday, October 21st, at his home. 

 

Rasmus was born in Tompkinsville, KY on March 18, 1933, a son of the late Mamie (Rich) and Price Ford.

 

On December 9, 1955, he married Idean Spear Ford, who preceded him in death on May 3, 2020. 

 

Rasmus is survived by his children, Teresa Key, of Indianapolis, IN; Rita Rodman, and husband, Bill, of Indianapolis, IN; Terry Ford, and wife, Sherri, of Tompkinsville, KY; Jerry Ford, of Tompkinsville, KY; Tony Ford, and wife, Diane, of Jamestown, KY;   daughter-in-law, Karen Ford, of Indianapolis, IN; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

 

Also surviving are two sisters, Inez Humes and Eva Nell Ford, both of Tompkinsville, KY. 

 

Other than his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Ford, grandson, Anthony C. Ford II and a sister, Wilma Dean Bledsoe.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Burial is in Mt. Poland Cemetery. 

 

Visitation is Saturday morning after 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
