Phoebe (Howard) Copas

Phoebe Dee Howard Copas departed from this life of labor to a life of reward in glory on March 25, 2025, in El Paso, TX.

Phoebe was born in in Tompkinsville, KY on October 4, 1974, and was the daughter of Anna and Lester Johnson and the late Charles W. Howard of Tompkinsville.

Phoebe was a 1992 graduate of Monroe County High School and a graduate of Western Kentucky University. Phoebe gave much of her life working for the State of Kentucky as a social worker in Monroe County.

Phoebe was a member of The Church of the Firstborn Saints in Tompkinsville, KY. Phoebe was loved by all who met her and gave much of her life by helping others and trying to make everyone's life she met better. Phoebe was considered by her friends and loved ones as the life of the party, and she never met a stranger.

Phoebe is survived by her daughter, Tiarra J. Hawkins and her dad, Marty Hawkins, of Tompkinsville, her mother, Anna, and dad, Lester of Tompkinsville. Four brothers, Chad Johnson of Bowling Green, Jesse Byron Graves of Tallahassee, FL, Tyron Graves of Atlanta, GA, and Jeffery Mink of Tompkinsville. A godson, Trenton A. Carroll of Tompkinsville, two special God-Grandsons, Tatum Reese Carroll and Rayden Xavier Carroll of Tompkinsville and Fiance' J.C. Knott of Breeding, KY; a special niece, Shaneta Graves and children, Jaylin, Mi Honor and Truly Amazing Graves of Indiana and a host of nieces, nephews, aunties, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 12 noon at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with Frankie Tooley officiating the service. Burial to follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday after 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12 noon at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
