Otley Ronald Copass, 91, of North Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Tompkinsville, KY, went home with our Lord on February 8, 2023.
Otley was born on September 23, 1931, a son of the late Alice (Russell) and Jeff Ross Copass.
He was married to Joan Lee Copass, who preceded him in death.
He retired from International Harvester in Indianapolis before moving to Florida with Joan, his wife of 62 years. He was gifted with the natural ability to fix anything he tackled. He was a dedicated child of God and a member of Gulf Coast Church of Christ. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to so many. The special bond he had with his family, including his nieces and nephews, was a blessing. Otley loved auctions, bargain shopping, fishing, and family gatherings.
Otley is survived by two daughters, Ronna Lepper (Dave) and Ronda Kontak (Steve), and a son, Ronald Copass (Deborah), all of Florida; six grandchildren, Jason Copass (Malinda), Chad Copass (Angel), Steven Adkins Jr., Erin Adkins, Rachel Bieber and Kyle Kontak, ten great grandchildren, Karen Steinberg (Sam), Alexis Adamson (Tyler), Kayla Copass, Devin Copass, Emma Depner, Taylor Copass, Caleb Bieber, Jacob Bieber, Tinsley Adkins and Jackson Adkins; five step great grandchildren, Jennifer Kennedy (Steve), David Lepper (Meggen), Cari Bieber, Eli Barrow and Aliyah Barrow; and two great great grandchildren, Paxton Adamson and Ellah Kay Mcgee.
Otley is also survived by a sister, Hazel Hume, of Tompkinsville, KY and a brother, Jeff Copass Jr., of Tennessee.
Other than his wife, Joan Copass, and parents, Jeff Ross and Alice Copass, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Oma Scott, Chloe Justice, Ina Riley and Viola White, and one brother, Boyd Copass.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Old Mt. Herman Cemetery.
