Morris Truman Smith Obituary
Morris Truman Smith, 76, of Mount Hermon, KY, passed away Saturday, July 30th, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
Truman was born in Tompkinsville, KY on January 9, 1946, a son of the late Hazel (Daniels) and Lonnie Smith.
He worked as a Bus Mechanic for the Monroe County School Board.
Truman is survived by a son, James Smith (Sandra), of Mt. Hermon, KY; one grandson, Asher and was expecting a granddaughter, Penelope in November.
Truman is also survived by a sister, Matilda Birge, of Bowling Green, KY.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Julius Smith, Jesse Smith, James Smith, Willis Smith and Lonnie Smith Jr; and four sisters, Nelda Smith, Hilda Lampkin, Wilda Chenault, Susie Short.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3rd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Bob Curtain will officiate the service.
Visitation is Tuesday, 4:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at
1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
