Michael "Mike" Ray Turner

Michael Ray Turner, 74, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 17th, at his home.

Mike was born in Tompkinsville, KY on November 4, 1949, a son of the late Betty (Wadley)  and Cecil Turner.

On May 6, 1995, he married Vivienne "Viv" Wadley. 

Mike worked at Eaton Axle for over 30 years. After his retirement, he worked security for the Monroe County Justice Center. Mike was an outdoorsman and enjoyed all types fishing, Indian artifacts and metal detecting. He was a member of H.A.M. Henderson Lodge #515.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vivienne "Viv" Turner, of Tompkinsville, KY; three sons, Zachary Michael Turner, and wife, Jennifer, of Glasgow, KY;  Jonathan Ryan Turner, and wife, Dawn, of Tompkinsville, KY and Stuart Tomlinson, and wife, Sharon, of Glasgow, KY; six grandchildren, Callie, Cade, Grant and Gabrielle Turner, Tom and Zoe Tomlinson and a great granddaughter, Viviana Tomlinson.

Mike is also survived by three sisters, Joyce Lawhorn, of Bowling Green, KY;  Cheryl Wadley, of Tompkinsville, KY;  Debbie  Hawks, of Tompkinsville, KY and two brothers, Paul  Turner, of Tompkinsville, KY;  William  Turner, of Campbellsville, KY.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his sons, Rebecca Joanne (Hammer) Turner, and a sister, Kathy Emberton.

At Mike's request, Masonic services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. No visitation will be held prior or after the Masonic service but anyone is welcome to attend the Masonic service. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory are suggested to H.A.M. Henderson Lodge #515.
