Obituary
Kristie Shannon Proffitt, 48, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, December 25th, at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.
Kristie was born in Macon County, TN on March 26, 1973, a daughter of the late Josie (Dickens) and Herman Brooks.
On November 23, 1991, she married James Proffitt in Macon County, TN.
She was a member of Berea Church of Christ. She was a Girl Scout Leader for troop 66, and was active in both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Kristie is survived by her husband of 30 years, James Proffitt; a daughter, Jaimie Yokley, and husband, Ryan, of Tompkinsville, KY; a son, Josh Proffitt, of Tompkinsville, KY; three grandchildren, Jayse, Brookelyn and Briley Yokley.
Kristie is also survived by two sisters, Janet Coffee, and husband, Johnny, of Lafayette, TN; Delilah Hatfield, of Fountain Run, KY; two brothers, Tony Brooks, and wife, Tracy,of Lafayette, TN; Christopher Brooks, of Lafayette, TN; a half sister, Juanita Hire, of Bowling Green, KY; a half brother, Orval Brooks, of Glasgow, KY; father-in-law, Rondal Proffitt; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by two half-sisters, Joan Haynes and Shirley Boles, one half brother, Gary Binon, mother-in-law, Barbara (Hood) Proffitt and one nephew, Andrew Brooks.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Isenberg Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday, 4-8 PM, and Wednesday 8:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
