Jimmy "Jody" Strode

Jimmy "Jody" Louis Strode, 65, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, December 16th, in Shepherdsville, KY.

Jody was born in Tompkinsville, KY on September 18, 1958, a son of the late Della  (Hurt) and James Strode.

Jody worked at Beldon for 21 years. He enjoyed making leather goods, farming, hunting and anything outdoors.

Jody is survived by nieces and nephews, Cindy Blythe, Stephen Blythe, Michael Wayne Blythe, Dale Strode, Angie and Mark Strode and Mary Blankenship; two sisters, Joyce  Blythe, of Brandenburg, KY and Barbara  White, of Marrowbone, KY,  and his companion, Marlene Hyland.
 
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Jackie and Kenny Strode and a sister, Betty Blankenship.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 21st at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
