Jimmy Lee Harris, 54, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, March 31st, at his home.
Jimmy was born in Tompkinsville, KY on December 31, 1968, a son of the late Barbara Jean (Birge) and Eugene "Gene" Harris.
He was married to Diana Lee Harris, who preceded him in death. He had a companion, Judith "Babe" Roberts, who survives.
Jimmy was a very hard worker and could do anything he put his mind to. He could build a house, redo a whole car, and anything in between and it would be done right. He will be remembered for being a kind hearted man that was loved by everyone.
In addition to his companion, he is survived by three sons, Jimmy Eugene "Bonehead" Harris (Rebecca), Johnny Lee Vibbert (MaKailey), and Shane Vibbert, all of Tompkinsville, KY, one brother, Evans "Sambo" Harris (Betty), of Lafayette, TN, two sisters, Candy Strong and Brenda Kaye Davis (Danny), of Tompkinsville, KY, three step children, Sha Hagan (Matt), Destiney Roberts and Dustin "Ray Ray" Roberts, all of Glasgow, KY.
He was the Papa of thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and was expecting another. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.
He is also survived by two special nieces, Kassie Howard and Nichole Hunter, nephews, George, Hershel and Richard Birge, mother-in-law, Mary "Marie" Bland, Josh Porter (Megan), who was like another son to him, two best friends that were like brothers to him, Robert Ford and Chris Copass, and by aunts, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Other than his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by three brothers, James "Jim Buck" Birge, Robert Dale Harris and Stevie Gene Harris, a sisters, Rita Faye Howard, two brothers-in-law Roy Strong and John Tom Bland, sister-in-law, Flora "Annie Lou" Birge, special niece, JaKayla Howard, a grandson Jared Vibbert, daughter-in-law, Penny Short Vibbert, and a best friend, Darrell Ray Copas, and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial to follow at White Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday morning after 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
