Jim Wheatley, 70, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday, May 27th, while in the company of family, at his residence.
Jim was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 7, 1956, a son of the late Lilly Ellen Giltner and Phillip Wheatley. Jim married Lisa Stafford April 6, 1980 in Indianapolis, IN. He worked as a self-employed Roofer, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting deer, turkeys and his favorite coon hunting. He served in the Army, 101st Airborne Special Forces until being injured in the line of duty.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lisa (Stafford) Wheatley, three daughters, Amber Dawn Wheatley, of Tompkinsville, KY; Clarice Belle Marshall, of Tompkinsville, KY;
Heather Nicole Chapman, of Scottsville, KY, 11 grandchildren, Adrian Wheatley, Kadin Howard, Grayson Muse, Piper Marshall, Noah Childs, Tessa Pennington, Sawyer Smith, Lillie Smith, Holton Smith, Brandon & Allie Chapman & 2 great-grandchildren, Rylan Muse & Jolene Glass
His parents, Lilly & Phillip Wheatley, son, Jermiah Wheatley, daughter, Misty Wheatley, brothers, Charles Copas & Jackie Giltner preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Brother Gene Gearlds will officiate. Burial will be in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn with Military Honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20.
Visitation, Thursday 4 to 8 PM and Friday after 8 AM till service time at 1 PM.

Adrian Wheatley, Grayson Muse, Sawyer Smith, Kelly Chapman, Eric Roy & Ronnie Rich will serve as pallbearers. Kadin Howard, Holton Smith, Noah Childs & Brandon York will serve as honorary pallbearers.
