Carmen James Walden, 84, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away on December 4, 2022. Carmen was born in Columbus, Indiana to the late Garnett & Nancy Walden. Carmen worked in the Grocery Industry for many years which included, Standard Grocery, O’Malias and most recently management for Payless Liquor. Carmen loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outside and tending to his horses. He spent many hours gardening during the warm weather months. Carmen was very social and loved being with people. He never met a stranger.
Carmen is survived by his loving wife; Susie (Anderson) Walden, children; Robert (Lori) Walden, Melissa (Pete) Wojtowicz and Jordan Walden, stepchildren; Jerri Lynn, Sherman and Joseph Culvahouse, grandchildren; Brittany (Casey) Dunnam, Derek Walden, Dawson, Jared and Audrey Wojtowicz, Cody, Krista, Brittany Culvahouse and Cali, along with 5 great-grandchildren, siblings; Richard (Brenda) Walden, Susan Helfman and Judy (Randall) Spears.
Carmen is preceded in death by his grandson; Timothy Culvahouse, sister; Catherine Harris and step mother; Maeoma Walden.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm.
Burial and graveside services will take place on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:30 am. at Monroe County Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
