Jerry Wayne Walker, 70, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, May 19th, surrounded by his family at his home.
Jerry was born in Tompkinsville, KY on September 14, 1953, a son of the late Dorothy (Scott) and Floyd Walker, Sr.
He married Mary (Warren) Walker on October 7, 1972.
Jerry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a logger and later drove a school bus for the Monroe County School District. He spent his spare time with family, camping and at the lake. Jerry loved his faith, family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Walker, of Tompkinsville, KY; two daughters, Jennifer Walker, of Tompkinsville, KY and Angie Bray (Ray), of Glasgow, KY; 4 grandchildren, Kinsey Robinson (Briley), Kalyn Bray (Hunter Wilson), Jeremy Bray (Christy), and Kelsey Pruitt (Zach); and nine great grandchildren.
Jerry is also survived by a sister, Janet White (Larry), of Florida; two brothers, Floyd Walker, Jr., of Glasgow, KY and Jim Walker (Tammie), of Tompkinsville, KY.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Judy Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23rd at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with burial to follow at Old Mt. Herman Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., and Thursday 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
