Jerry Clay Humes, 67, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, April 20th, while in the company of family, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Jerry was born in Tompkinsville, KY on January 5, 1956, a son of the late Haley Jane (Ford) and James Eddie Humes. He married Elizabeth Deckard June 22, 2012. Jerry had many talents, he was a welder at Stephen's Mfg., worked as a police officer in Lafayette, TN, a mechanic for Macon County Board of Education & worked at Graham & Hammer Lumber Co.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Deckard Humes daughter, Elizabeth Anastasia Deckard, a son, Austin Wayne Bewley, he is also survived by Grandchild, Natalie Grace Bean & a sister, Mossie Ree Emberton, all of Tompkinsville, KY & many extended family & friends.
His parents, James & Haley Humes, brother, Eddie Dean Humes, sisters, Mary Ann Seals, Geraldine Conners, Geneva Jane Copas, Margie Young & Corrine Ford preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 PM at the Ebenezer Cemetery with burial to follow. Brother Darrick Proffitt will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held after 1:30 Sunday, April 23rd at the cemetery.
