Jerry Patrick Deckard, 77, of the Flippin Community of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday, June 1st, surrounded by his family at NHC in Glasgow, KY.
Jerry was born in Tompkinsville, KY on May 7, 1945, a son of the late Ardie Ann (Cropper) and Rex Arlie Deckard.
On April 30, 1972, he married Theresa Turner in Flippin, KY.
Jerry graduated from Tompkinsville High School in 1963. He served in the National Guard. Jerry worked as a Foreman at Texas Eastern. He was a member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Theresa Deckard of Tompkinsville, KY;
two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Trip Rolke, of Sachse, TX and
Leslie and Paul Barlow, of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Duncan Barlow, Riley Grace Rolke, Hayden Barlow and Freddy Rolke.
Jerry is also survived by a sister, Judy Emberton, of Tennessee and a brother, Michael Deckard, of Florida; Nieces and nephews, Angela, and husband Ronnie Rushing, Lisa and husband, Mark Wimsatt, Mike and wife, Kim Emberton and Todd and wife Melissa Geralds; special nephew, Scott Turner.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Geralds and Peggy Jane Deckard; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lester and Bela Turner; his beloved dog, Diego.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 6th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Visitation is Sunday, June 5, from 2-6 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, and Monday after 8:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's memory may be made to Flippin VFD or to Tompkinsville First Baptist Church Christian Life Center.
