James Dale Gearlds

James Dale Gearlds, age 86, of Tompkinsville KY, passed away Friday, June 23rd, 2023, at NHC Nursing Home in Glasgow KY. James was born in Elbow KY, on February 14th, 1937, to the late Frank Gearlds and the late Marth Pitcock Geralds and moved to the Kino – Eighty-Eight Community in 1950 and resided there the rest of his life. He graduated from Temple Hill High School in 1955. He retired from Farmers Rural Electric after 39 years. He was a member of Refuge Church of Christ. He married Billie Sue Goad on May 3, 1958. James and Billie were lovers of antiques and collected throughout the years. He is survived by his wife, Billie Sue Gearlds; sister, Mary Geralds Hall; two nephews, Christopher Hall, and Jonathan Hall; great nephew, Caleb Hall; brother-in-law, Bobby Goad (Patty) Besides his parents, James is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lenvil R. Hall. James’s family has honored his wishes for cremation. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday June 27th, 2023, at 2:30 pm at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.  Special thank you to Dorothy Payne and Nancy Garrett for being his caretakers through the years.
