Helma Jane (Eaton) Lyon, 93, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Saturday, March 14th, at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.
Helma was born in Monroe County, KY, on January 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Bonnie (Hestand) and John Jackson Eaton.
She was of Baptist faith.
Helma was married to James Lyon, who precedes her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Faye Heilman, and husband, Tim; Kaye Biggerstaff, and husband, Johnny; Regena Proffitt, and companion, Garvey Sturgill; and Stacy Proffitt, and husband, Darrick, all of Tompkinsville, KY; and a son-in-law, Loyd Hodges, of Summer Shade, KY; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Lyon; parents, John Jackson and Bonnie Eaton; daughter, Brenda Hodges; brother, Leonard Eaton; son-in-law, Greg Proffitt; one grandson, Barry Lynn Hodges; and a great granddaughter, Ella Biggerstaff.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Bro. Darrick Proffitt officiating.
Visitation is Monday, March 16, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 P.M., and Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 6:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
Burial is in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
