Harold Payne, 82, of the Stringtown community of Mount Hermon, KY passed away Wednesday, December 25th, surrounded by his family at his home.
Harold was born at his home in Mt. Hermon, KY on September 30, 1942, a son of the late Ina Mae (Hood) and Roy F. Payne.
He married Helen Hammer on December 7, 1965 in Edmonton, KY.
Harold was a lifelong farmer and was the happiest at his farm and surrounded by his cows. Harold loved his family and spending time with them.
Harold is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen Payne, and a son, David Payne, both of Mt. Hermon, KY; two grandchildren, Alexis Hunley and husband, Adam and Matthew Payne, and wife Kourtney; two great grandchildren, Levi Payne and Atticus Hunley and was expecting another.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold's memory are requested to Bethlehem Cemetery.
