Glen Dale Conkin

Glen Dale Conkin, 79, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, April 28th, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

Glen Dale was born in Tompkinsville, KY on April 6, 1944, a son of the late Margaret (Wood) Conkin and Regie T. Conkin.

He worked at General Telephone for 35 years before retiring. Glen Dale was a member of Liberty Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle after his retirement. 

Glen Dale is survived by a daughter, Kim Conkin Shadday (Donnie Johnson) of Owens Cross Roads, AL;  two sisters, Sheryl Conkin, of Tompkinsville, KY;  Sandy Moore, and husband, Larry, of Tompkinsville, KY and two brothers, Richard "Dickie" Conkin, of Celina, TN and  Brett Conkin, of Tompkinsville, KY; and his special friend, Patricia Walden, of Tompkinsville, KY.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Stevie Conkin. 
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Glen Dale's memory may be made to Liberty Cemetery.
