Geraldine McGee Tatum, 84, formerly of Fountain Run, KY, passed away Wednesday March 18, 2026.
Geraldine was born on October 11, 1941 to the late Ray McGee and Gladys Williams McGee in Corbin, KY.
She was baptized in 1959 in an Arlington, TX Church of Christ. After moving from Fountain Run, KY to Brownwood, TX she became a member of 4th & Stewart Church of Christ. Her specialty was creating beautiful quilts for family and friends. Her other hobbies included various fine crafts and gardening. In Midland, TX, Geraldine was first a Cub Scout leader, and then later a leader of two Girl Scout troops simultaneously. She worked mainly as a home maker, but also had various jobs as a Mary Kay consultant, in aeronautics and blue jean factories, and as a runner of titles for a car dealership.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters Army Baughman (Somerset, KY), Beverly Watts (Brownwood, TX), Lozella Tatum (Somerset, KY), Phyllis Rawls (Siloam Springs, AR), 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Geraldine was also preceded in death by husband of 58 years Joe Donald Tatum, son Bryan Lynn Tatum, siblings Shirley Young, Ray McGee, Nancy Carol Adams, Roberta Carlson, grandchildren Cory Houston, Dana Houston.
Funeral services will be held March 30, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, 510 W 4th St, Tompkinsville, KY 42167, 270-487-5539.
John Osgatharp will be conducting the service.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, March 30, 2026 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Fountain Run Cemetery in Fountain Run, KY.
