Gerald Edward "Jake" Ryan, Jr., 68, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, February 20th, at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Jake was born in Dover, NJ on January 30, 1957, a son of Norma Gertrude Chiappa and the late Gerald Edward Ryan, Sr.
He married Loretta Watson in 2010.
Jake worked as a D.J/Karaoke. He grew up in Middletown, Ohio and moved to Tompkinsville later in life. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. Gerald loved his grandchildren with all of his heart and his son Jacob remembers him as his best friend and greatest dad ever. He was a lifelong Cleveland Browns Fan.
Jake is survived by his wife, Loretta Ryan, of Tompkinsville, KY; mother, Norma Gerturde Chiappa, of Middletown, Ohio; a daughter, Jennifer M Ward, of Centerville, OH; two sons Gerald E. Ryan III (Katie), of Indiana; Jacob Matthew Tyler Ryan (Yossey), of Tompkinsville, KY; four step sons Steven Botts (Amy), of Tompkinsville, KY; Eric Cain (Brittany), of Tompkinsville, KY; Scott Botts (Brandi), of Tompkinsville, KY; Bradley Botts (Mary), of Tompkinsville, KY; 24 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; and his two dogs Petey and Zeke.
Gerald is also survived by two sisters, Sherry Jandle, of Virginia; Norma Jean Ryan-Green (Elise), of Virginia and two brothers, Walter Grosse, of Ohio; Michael Grosse, of Ohio.
Other than his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Grosse.
Jake's wishes were to be cremated and a family service will be held later.
