Gay Cary, 84, of Lafayette, TN, passed away Sunday, November 3rd, surrounded by her family at her home.
Gay was born in Tompkinsville, KY on February 28, 1940, a daughter of the late Bina (Bartley) and Carson Chapman.
She was a 1958 graduate of Tompkinsville High School. Gay retired from working at the Property Valuation Administrator office in Tompkinsville and later in Bowling Green, KY. She was a member of Lafayette Church of Christ. Gay enjoyed traveling, working in her flowers and spending time with her great grandchildren.
Gay is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marketta and Gary Sexton, of Lafayette, TN; two grandchildren, Brandon Flanary and wife, Kena, of Tompkinsville, KY, and Makayla Hall, and husband, Creigh of Lafayette, TN; six great grandchildren, Craylyn, Karsyn, and Oaklyn Hall, Trace, Payton and Tate Flanary.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Carroll Pearson and Preston Cary.
At Gay's request, graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6th at Monroe County Memorial Lawn Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery, these can be left at the funeral home.
