Freddie Hunt, 68, of Lamb, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 2nd, at Shanti Niketan Hospice House in Glasgow, KY.
Freddie was born in Barren County, KY on July 17, 1957, a son of the late Ruth Janice (Burgess) and James Burl Hunt.
On May 19, 1979, he married Linda Isenberg at the Tompkinsville Church of Christ.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science along with a teaching certificate. Freddie spent much of his life farming in the Lamb community, where he was well known and respected. Freddie was of the church of Christ faith, and attended Dry Fork Church of Christ. Freddie was an avid WKU fan and regularly attended basketball, football and baseball games to cheer on the Hilltoppers. In his later years, he followed the Cincinnati Reds.
Freddie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Hunt, of Lamb, KY; their two children, Jessica Hunt-Khouri, and husband, Paul, of Washington, D.C., and Matthew Hunt, of Lamb, KY.
Freddie is also survived by two sisters, Connie Eaton, of Glasgow, KY; Ellen Headrick, and husband, Eddie, of Tompkinsville, KY; and a brother-in-law, Billy Deckard of Glasgow, KY.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Deckard, and brother-in-law, Wayne Eaton.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5th at Bethlehem Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Freddie's memory may be made to Bethlehem Cemetery or Isenberg Cemetery
