Eva Nell (Copas) Spear, 89, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Monday, July 5th, at the Monroe County Medical Center.
Eva Nell was born in the Turkey Neck Bend Community of Monroe County, KY, on July 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Minnie (Short) and Oscar Copas.
She married Hanley Spear on August 8, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1996.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. She worked at Key Work Clothes for over 30 years.
Eva Nell is survived by four daughters, Sue Yokley, and husband, George Michael, of Tompkinsville, KY; Jane Brown, and husband, Jackie, of Tompkinsville, KY; Wanda Birge, and husband, Rondal, of Glasgow, KY and Joan Kessler, of Glasgow, KY; 10 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Eva Nell is also survived by a sister, Callie Choate, of Martinsville, IN .
Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Freddie Kessler; three brothers, Larkin, Barlow and Loyd Copas and six sisters, Odell Hestand, Ree Copas, Hazel Bartley, Inez Hurd, Polly Hurd, and Ailene Rich.
Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 12 Noon. Visitation is Wednesday, 4-8 PM and Thursday morning after 8 AM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial is in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
