Ephriam Joe Wilson, 93, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, June 23rd, at his home.
Ephriam was born in Tompkinsville, KY on August 5, 1929, the oldest child of the late Florence (Monday) and Wade Wilson.
On December 17, 1949, he married Willodean Short Wilson. Willodean preceded him in death on April 12, 1991 after 41 years of marriage.
After marrying Dean, he share cropped until he started the carpentry trade. In 1960, they to moved County House Road, which became their homestead for life and he found his love for the farm there. He was proud of his land, loved his cattle, and enjoyed the beautiful sights on his farm. While doing carpenter work, he built 74 homes for families to enjoy. Ephriam also enjoyed going to auctions, trading, and his dog, Roscoe. He attended Tompkinsville First Baptist Church.
Ephriam is survived by his family that he was so proud of, a daughter, Judy Ann Myers, and husband, Daniel and a son, Stevie Joe Wilson, and wife, Danetta, all of Tompkinsville, KY. He was "Popie" to his five grandchildren, Jenny Lynn Myers Bartley, and husband, Jason, Keri Beth Myers Turner, and husband, Kerry, Leslie Ann Wilson Wheeler, and husband, Jordan, Alesa Jo Wilson Page, and husband, Jeremy, and Dr. Joseph Wade Wilson and four great grandchildren, Jade-Madison Turner, Keeton Turner, Addison Bartley and Lennox Joe Page.
Ephriam is also survived by a sister, Sarah Strosin, of Wisconsin.
Other than his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Erie Wilson, and his wife, Corinne, and Elom Wilson, and his wife, Linda, and brother in law, Joseph Strosin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26th, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Visitation is Sunday, 5-8 p.m, and Monday, 7:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
