Doris Eileen Ward, 77, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away peacefully Friday, February 7th, while in the company of family, at her Residence.
Doris was born in Lebanon, IN on November 27, 1947, a daughter of the late Mary Madeline (Anderson) and George Charles Isenhower.
She married the late Brother Fay Ward who preceded her in death September 23, 2002. She was a homemaker, worked in the cafeteria for Monroe County Schools, enjoyed word search puzzles and yard selling.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Georgeanna, and husband, Dewayne Matlock, of Scottsville, KY; son, Richard E. Brown, and wife, Peggy, of Horse Cave, KY; 3 Grandchildren, R.J. Brown of Denver, CO, Robert Brown of Glasgow & Andrew Brown of Edmonton, 8 great-grandchildren, a sister, Dolores Elaine Reed, of Tallassee, AL. and many bonus children that referred to her as Mama Doris,
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and son, Timothy Ward.
Funeral Service will be held 12 PM on Thursday, February 13th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Emmitt Ballard will officiate.
Visitation will be held 9 AM to 12 PM on Thursday, February 13th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
Burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Mt. Herman, KY.
Memorial donations suggested to St. Jude or Monroe Co. Humane Society.
