Darla Charlene (Turner) Brewer

Darla Charlene (Turner) Brewer, 59, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away January 4, 2025. 

Darla was born in Leslie County, KY, on March 12, 1965, to the late Iva Bernice (Miniard) Turner and Charlie Turner. She was raised on Greasy Creek In Harlan County, KY.

Darla was a homemaker and Nanna. She was a member of Redeeming Love Church in Gamaliel. She enjoyed attending church, especially the Church by the Creek services. She enjoyed listening to music and listening to gospel programs and spending time with family.

Darla is survived by her daughter, Renee Dyer and her husband, Larry, of Gamaliel, KY; her grandchildren, Triston Dyer, Tymber Dyer, Chelsea Dyer, Neveah Dyer, Michael Dyer, Matthew Dyer and Izabella Dyer.

Darla is also survived by one brother, Joe Turner, of Bloomfield, IN, and five sisters, Juanita (James) Threadgill in Ottawa, IL, Wanda Turner of Harlan, Eula Scearse (William), of Middlesboro, Leslie Curry (Frank) of London, Nancy Cornett (Danny) of Harlan, and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family that was she greatly loved. Special mention of Ivana Luna Ryherd and Carrie Moore of Hazard, her beloved best friend.

Other that her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Hobart Ross Turner, Rufus Turner, Charlie Turner, Jr., Jerry Dale Turner and one sister, Callie Lynette Broughton.

Cremation has been chosen as this was Darla's wishes.
