Clova Dean Lyon, 86, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Friday, March 5th, at Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Clova Dean was born in Tompkinsville, KY on September 15, 1934, a daughter of the late Ruth (Wheat) Headrick and Almond Headrick.
On January 27, 1951, she married Rondell Lyon at the home of Garnett Martin. Rondell preceded her in death on November 29, 2010.
She worked for the Monroe County Board of Education as a Bus Driver for 37 years.
Clova Dean is survived by three daughters, Gail Spear, of Tompkinsville, KY, Deborah Edwards, and husband, Ken, of Campbellsville, KY, and Sheryl Lyon, of Maryland; three sons, Gary Lyon, Steven Lyon, and wife, Glenda, and Ronnie Lyon, and wife, Donna, all of Tompkinsville, KY; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ruth Lyon, of Tompkinsville, KY; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Clova Dean is also survived by a brother, Darrell Headrick, of Tompkinsville, KY and a sisters, Darlene Thompson of Indiana.
Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, David Earl Lyon; a son-in-law, Gary Spear; and three brothers, Mack, Donald and David Headrick.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 8th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Visitation is Sunday, 4-8 PM, and Monday, after 8 AM until service time at 11 AM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Monroe County Backpack Program or to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
For the protection of Mrs. Lyon's family it is kindly asked for anyone coming to the services to abide by Governor Beshear's recommendation of wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. No public lounge is available at this time.
