Clifton Anderson, 90, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Monday, May 8th, at Medical Center of Bowling Green.
Clifton was born in the Hestand community of Monroe County on November 29, 1926, a son of the late Annie (Huffines) and Clay Anderson.
He worked as a farmer, farm manager and in various plants in Indianapolis, IN during his life. He served in the Marines.
Clifton is survived by a daughter, Gail Thompson, and husband, David, of Nashville, TN;
two sons Greer Anderson, of Louisville, KY; Max Anderson, and wife, Cathy of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Jenny Jacobs, of Bowling Green, KY; Keli Anderson of Florida; and Tyler Anderson of Richmond, KY; three great grandchildren, Grace Simmons, Anne Jacobs, Hannah Anderson.
Clifton is also survived by three brothers, Billy Joe Anderson, and Leroy Anderson, both of Tompkinsville; and Clay Anderson, Jr. of Georgia; four sisters, Blanche Lyons of Tompkinsville, KY; Runell Howard of Gamaliel; Wanda Cornelius, of Georiga, and Allene Allen of Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Betty Ann Greer Anderson, and Tempie (Hance) Crabtree Anderson; two sisters, Vivian Presley and Ree Edison.
Funeral Service will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12th, with Bro. Mark Hopper officiating.
Visitation is Friday 9:00-1:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial is in Monroe County Memorial Lawn with graveside services held by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.
