Charles Alfred Thompson, 77, of Glasgow, KY, formerly of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Monday, February 10th, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
Charles was born in Tompkinsville, KY on May 29, 1942, a son of the late Naomi (Conkin) and Clarence Thompson.
Charles was a retired school teacher for the Monroe County School District. He was a member of Tompkinsville First United Methodist Church.
On July 15, 1967, he married Adelle Wood at the Liberty Church in Tompkinsville.
Charles is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Barry Key of Glasgow, KY; and a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Shelly Thompson, of Savannah, GA; five grandchildren, C.J. Key, and wife, Sherana; Kristin Witty, and husband, Spencer; Parker, Kayla and Shelby Thompson.
Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Adelle Thompson, parents, and a brother, Chester Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, February 13th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Visitation is Wednesday, 5:30-8:00 P.M., and Thursday, 6:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial is in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
