Charles Earl Kendall, 86, of Tompkinsville, passed away Sunday, June 11th, at Signature Health and Rehab of Monroe County.
Charles was born in Clay County,TN on September 30, 1936, a son of the late Gladys C. (Head) Kendall and Girvous R. Kendall.
Charles was married to the late Evelyn Kendall, she preceded him in death June 11, 2012. He was a truck driver for Bluegrass Tankers & Smith Transfer and was of the Baptist faith. Charles served Honorably in the U.S. Navy from December 30, 1954 until he was discharged June 11, 1957.
Charles is survived by a daughter, Sharon Gay Hale and husband Sidney, of Tompkinsville; son,Ricky Ray Kendall and wife Tonya, of Tompkinsville; grandchildren, Machelle Blackwell and husband Bengie, Matthew Hale, Chase Kendall and wife Meredith, and Tanner Kendall and wife Lauren; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie Grace Kendall and Reese Monroe Kendall, brother Billy Joe Kendall & wife, Shirley of Bowling Green.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, wife, Evelyn Kendall. two brothers, Randall and Jesse Kendall & Jesse's wife, Linda, one sister, Shelby Kendall.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, June 14th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Burial will follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Brother Darrick Proffitt and Brother Steve Hill officiated the service. Mark McGuffin, Steve Horneback, Todd Davis, Tanner Kendall, Chase Kendall & Donnie Ashlock served as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14 from 8:30 AM to service time at 1 PM.
