Bulie Deckard Jr.

Bulie Deckard Jr., 85, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away on Friday, April 8th, while in the company of family at TJ Sampson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Jr. was born in Gamaliel, KY on May 25, 1936, a son of the late Ruby (Hargis) and Bulie Deckard Sr. He was a 1954 graduate of Gamaliel High School. He married Nelda Curtis, who survives, on January 13, 1962 at the home of Brother Rex Hunt in Austin Tracy, KY. He was a farmer and factory worker who retired from Key Industries after over 40 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.

Jr. is survived by a daughter, LaDonna, wife of Geoff Pare of Gamaliel, KY. Three sons: Rodney, husband of Tammy Deckard of Edmonton KY; Bradley, husband of Dana Deckard of Daphne, AL; Coby, husband of Allie Deckard of Nashville, TN. Seven grandchildren: Grayson Pare; Gibson Pare & wife Tessa; Nicholas Deckard; Allison Deckard; Sarah Shrum & husband Ethan; Taryn Deckard and Oliver Deckard. Four great-grandchildren: Garon Henry Pare; Gavin Pare; Gideon Pare and Jasmine Pare.

Jr. is also survived by siblings Linda Montgomery of Bowling Green, KY; Jesse, husband of Willene Deckard of Tompkinsville, KY; and Terry, husband of Mary Deckard of Tompkinsville, KY.

His parents, Bulie & Ruby Deckard; son, James Gregory Deckard; brothers, Sammy and David Deckard, & sister, Lola Fox preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 10 at 3:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday, 5-8 PM and Sunday, 9-3. Burial is in Beautiful Home Cemetery.
