Bruce Coulter, 71,of Tompkinsville, KY passed away on Wednesday, April 3rd at Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown in Nashville,TN.
Bruce was born in Monroe County on January 16, 1953, a son of the late Eva Mae "Short" Johnson and James Coulter. Throughout his life Bruce worked at various sawmills in the area, hauled cattle for many years, and also served as police officer for 8 years. He married Faye "Hawley" Coulter, on July 3, 1976 in Clay County, TN, and they shared 48 wonderful years together.
In addition to his loving wife Faye of Tompkinsville; Bruce is survived by a daughter, Kimberly "Coulter" Summar, and husband Joshua, of Murfreesboro, TN, and one grandson, Brayden Gray.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Morris Coulter, and a sister Vickie Ritter.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 6th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Bailey Cemetery. Kevin Dyer will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to help with the funeral expenses. These can be made here at the funeral home.
