Brother Carlene Kirby, 85, of Glasgow, KY passed away Friday, July 8th, peacefully, at Signature Health Care, Horse Cave, KY.
Carlene was born in Macon County, TN on June 22, 1937, a son of the late Pernie Hazel (Denham) and Chalmer Kirby. He was a graduate of Gamaliel High School, a Farmer, Pastored many churches in KY & TN and was a member at New Liberty General Baptist Church. He married Sue Patterson, August 24, 1957 at Ringo, GA. They lived and farmed in the Bugtussel & Etoile Communities.
Carlene is survived by his wife Sue (Patterson) Kirby, a son,Ricky Kirby, both of Glasgow, KY; 2 Grandchildren & a brother, Kermit, husband of Maxine Kirby, of IL.
His Parents & son, John Kirby preceded him in death.
Funeral Service will be held 2 PM on Sunday, July 10th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Brother Jimmy Cushenberry will officiate.
Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Saturday, July 9th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. & 9 AM to 2 PM on Sunday, July 10th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
Burial Caney Fork Cemetery, Barren County, KY.
