Bobby Joe Deckard

Bobby Joe Deckard, age 84, of Horse Cave, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was a native of Monroe County and of the Baptist Faith. He worked for Marta Bus Lines out of Atlanta and was a Barber for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Ralph Deckard and Wilma Jenkins Deckard; his step-mother, Ruth Allen Deckard; sister, Betty June Wooster Crawsley; brothers, Kenneth Ray Deckard, Henry "Cochise" Deckard, Cast Frank Deckard, and Calvin Billy Deckard; two brothers-in-law, Harold Smith and Donald Smith.

He is survived by his loving companion, Eva Matthews; sister, Deloris Jean Miller (Prentice), brother, Roger Deckard (Maureen); sister, Patty Smith, sister, Pam Smith; sister-in-law, Nelda Deckard; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be held from 3-7 P.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Winn Funeral Home and from 8 A.M. until time of service on Sunday.
