Bobby Dale Botts, 77, of Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, June 22nd, at his home.
Bobby was born in Tompkinsville, KY on August 31, 1945, a son of the late Chloe (Kingery) and Oral Botts.
On December 24, 1965, he married Paulette Hutcherson at the home of Bro. Evans Leamons.
Bobby's first public job was working at Botts Service Station in Tompkinsville, KY. He later became a salesman for Lance, Inc., where he worked for 23 years and became a branch manager within the company. Bobby was a lover of bluegrass music and a self- taught musician. He was of the Baptist faith.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 57 years, Paulette Botts, of Bowling Green, KY; a daughter, Jennifer Beasley, and husband, Jonah, of Tompkinsville, KY and a son, Chris Botts, of Bowling Green, KY; five grandchildren, Noah Beasley, Austin Sikes (Tori), Tyler Botts, Cassandra Isenberg (John) and Madison Page (Clark), and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a longtime friend, Jimmy "Bassman" Baker of Gallatin, TN.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant sister, Wilma Botts.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with Bro. Chris Vinson and Bro. Austin Sikes officiating the service. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, 2-8 p.m., and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobby's memory may be made to Ebenezer Cemetery.
