Beatrice (Simpson) Lane

Beatrice Simpson Lane, 96, of  Tompkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, February 18th, at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.

 

Beatrice was born in Tompkinsville, KY on September 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Verda (Wood) and Benjamin Harris Simpson.

 

Beatrice worked at South Central Bank for 74 years, where she was worked as Head Teller. She was also a member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church.

 

She was married to Furman Lane, who preceded her in death.

 

Beatrice is survived by two sisters-in-law, Katherine Simpson, of Tompkinsville, KY; Winona Simpson, of Crossville, TN, nieces and nephews, Kelly Crowe, Ricky Simpson, Randy Simpson, Angela Simpson Hughes, Janet Simpson Durmiaki, Jesse W. Simpson, Benny J Simpson, Louise Simpson Hays, Leslie Wright, Mae Dean Simpson Amos, Mary Jane Simpson Shafer, Martha Sue Simpson Walsh,extended family and friends.

 

Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Simpson, and wife, Emma, Wayne Simpson, and wife, Reva, Bow Hon and Jackie Ben Simpson, and a sister, Martha Jane Simpson, and two nephews, Jerry Simpson and Larry Wright, and a niece, Connie Crowe Hollinsworth.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, February 22nd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. 

 

Visitation is Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at

 11:00 a.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Tompkinsville Baptist Church or Bethlehem Cemetery.
