Barbara Gayle (Bryant) Froedge

Barbara Gayle (Bryant) Froedge, 79, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Monday, June 28th, at Monroe County Medical Center.

 

Gayle was born in Tompkinsville, KY on June 26, 1942, a daughter of the late Verda (Kerr) and Roger Bryant.

 

She was a member of Mt. Gilead Church of Christ. 

 

Gayle was united in marriage to Cass Thomas Froedge on October 16, 1960 in Moss, TN. Cass Thomas preceded her in death on February 25, 2017.

 

Gayle is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Tilghman, and husband, Gary, of Glasgow, KY; and a son, Brian Froedge, and Sandy, of Tompkinsville, KY; 4 grandchildren, Lindsey Gilliam, and husband, Garland, Carrie Derossett, and husband Daryl, Bridget Crowe and husband, Jacob, and Hayden Froedge, and fiancé' Brittany, and 10 great grandchildren, Clayton, Braylin and Kensington Jones, Tillman and Collins Derossett, Addilyn and Brynn Crowe, Hadley West, Taylor Young and Haley Gilliam. 

 

Gayle is also survived by two brothers, Dale Bryant, and wife, Pat, of Tompkinsville, KY, and Terry Bryant of Bowling Green, KY.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 1st at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn. 

 

Visitation is Wednesday, June 30, from 4-8 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, and Thursday morning after 6:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gayle's memory may be made to the Monroe County Backpack Program or to Mt. Gilead Church of Christ.
