Barbara England

Barbara Ann England, 75, of Mount Hermon, KY, passed away Thursday, May 1st, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Barbara was born in New York, on December 22, 1949, a daughter of the late Mildred  and Ralph Mitsner.

She married Leonard England on January 6, 1968 in New York. Leonard preceded her in death on November 25, 2019. 

Barbara was a lady of much faith and a member of Poplar Log Church of Christ. She dedicated much of her life to caring for children, working at Happy House Play School and Wee Care Day Care. Her gentle heart left a lasting impression on many children that she cared for. Above all, Barbara cherished time with her family, treasuring every moment spent together. 

Barbara is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Steve Kirkpatrick, of Glasgow, KY and Randi  and Jason Bow, of Mt. Hermon, KY; seven grandchildren, Kelsey, Tucker, Dalton, Kayla, Austin, Conner and James Tyler. 
 
Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Beth England.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation is 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd, and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
