Barbara Gayle (Stewart) Dandurand

Barbara Gayle Dandurand, 74, of Mount Hermon, KY passed away Friday, February 4th, at Monroe County Medical Center.

 

Barbara was born in Tompkinsville, KY on July 27, 1947, a daughter of the late Madge Lee (Woods) and James Mitchell Stewart.

 

On August 27, 1983, she was united in marriage to George Dandurand.

 

She was a member of Bethlehem Church in Mt. Hermon, KY.

 

Barbara is survived by her husband of 38 years, George Dandurand, of Mt. Hermon, KY; a daughter, Carrie Gayle Headrick, of Mt. Hermon, KY;  two sons David Wayne Headrick, and wife, Nicole, of Gamaliel, KY;  Brandon Joseph Dandurand, and wife, Megan, of Glasgow, KY;  a step daughter, Brenda Beckner, and husband, Don, of Kankaee, IL;  a step son, Dean Dandurand, and wife, Denise, of St. Ann, IL; 6 grandchildren, Andrea, Autumn, Marissa, Lily, Bella and Allie and 5 great grandchildren, Broden, Hayden, Owen, Collin and Gabe. 

 

Barbara is also survived by three sisters and brother-in-laws, Betty and Charles Garrett of Chattanooga, TN; Sharon and Steve Geralds, of Tompkinsville, KY and Sandra and JR Wix of Celina, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, James Ray and Bonnie Stewart of Tennessee.

 

Barbara is preceded in death by a step son, Greg Dandurand. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

 

Visitation is Monday, 4:30-8:00 PM, and Tuesday, 8:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory are suggested to Monroe County Backpack Program or to Kosair Children's Hospital.
