Banna Marie (Rowland) Burnett, 86, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Thursday, April 14th, at her home.
Banna was born in Monroe County, KY on September 8, 1935, a daughter of the late Ernest H. and Anna Mae (Cross) Rowland.
Banna was a member of Bethlehem Church. She worked for several years as the Indian Creek Baptist Church Secretary and Treasurer. She was also a Sunday School teacher at Indian Creek Baptist Church. She was a member of Flippin Homemakers, and Banna worked as a substitute teacher and was a farmer.
She married Carlos Burnett on August 31, 1950. They shared 71 years together before his passing on February 17, 2022.
Banna is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Debbie Burnett and Marc and Melissa Burnett, all of Fountain Run, KY; grandchildren, Nicholas Burnett and wife, Taryn, Matthew Burnett and wife, Valerie, Stephen Burnett and wife McKayla, Mariah Burnett and step-granddaughter Rachel; and three great grandchildren, Iris, Kinleigh, and Ezra.
She is also survived by two sisters, Jo Ann Hughes, and husband, Billy Clay, of Fountain Run, KY; and Dorothy Quesnberry of Magnolia, KY; two brothers, Frank Rowland, and wife, Cynthia, of Glasgow, KY and Billy Rowland and wife, Judy of Gamaliel, KY.
Other than her husband and parents she is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Thomas Quesnberry.
Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Neal Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday, 3:00-8:00 PM, and Tuesday morning after 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Banna's memory may be made to Bethlehem Church, Flippin Fire Department or to Neal Cemetery.
