Albert Thompson

Albert Thompson, 74, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, August 8th, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Albert was born in Burkesville, KY on October 15, 1949, a son of the late Regina (Aaron) and Albert "Buster" Thompson.

Albert married Charline Spear on December 19, 1969 at Union Church #1 in Fountain Run, KY.

He was retired from Beldon and he had worked as a logger and farmer also. Albert was a member and led singing at Mill Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed music and collecting antiques. 

Albert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charline Thompson, of Tompkinsville, KY; two daughters, Jennifer Copass, and husband, Eric, of Clementsville, TN and Stephanie Carter, of Tompkinsville, KY and a son, Jamie Thompson, and wife, Cheryl, of Tompkinsville, KY;  five grandchildren, Brady Thompson, Kayla Walker and husband Jeffrey, Clay Copass and wife Katelyn, Kaleb Carter and wife Abbie and Rachel Copass and two great grandchildren, Kolson Walker and Waylon Walker. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn. 

Visitation is Saturday, 5-8 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
