Albert Thomas Kerr, 90, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, July 6th, at Medical Center Commonwealth Specialty Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.
Albert was born in Tompkinsville, KY on October 23, 1930, a son of the late Pearl (Short) and Millard Kerr.
He was a member of Mt. Gilead Church of Christ. Albert was a farmer on his farm in Barren County.
On November 10, 1951, he married Madie (Monday) Kerr. Madie preceded him in death on January 16, 2015.
Albert is survived by a daughter, Tammy Proffitt, of Tompkinsville, KY; two sons Jimmy Kerr and Mikey Kerr, both of Glasgow, KY; four grandchildren, Bradley Kerr, Miranda Taylor, Morgan Cornelius, and Grayson Proffitt; five great grandchildren, Ethan and Iris Kerr, Alexis and John Taylor and Saige Cornelius.
Albert is also survived by a sister, Nina Hopper, of Judio, KY.
Other than his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Fred, Osby, Prentice, Jack, Wheeler and Frank Kerr; and sisters, Dellie Watson, Dessie Kerr, Gladys Wilson, Thelma Kerr, Lillie Purdom, Vennie Davidson and Inell Brewington.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 11th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY.
Burial is in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, 4-8 PM, and Sunday, after 8:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
