Adene Cloyd Daniel, 84, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Sunday, March 5th, at her home.
Adene was born in Tompkinsville, KY on March 7, 1938, a daughter of the late Ina Lee (Murphy) and David Tilford Cloyd.
On October 1, 1954, she was united in marriage to Leon Daniel, who preceded her in death on September 10, 2005.
Adene Daniel was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and a dear friend to many. She was a good Christian woman that worked at the Nursing Home in the kitchen. She enjoyed tacking quilts and enjoyed going fishing and being outdoors.
Adene is lovingly survived by two sons Anthony Daniel (Donna), and Timmy Daniel, both of Tompkinsville, KY; four daughters, Karen White, of Glasgow, KY; Benita Daniel, of Freedom; Sheila Botts, of Mudlick, KY and Sonya Ballard (Tim), of Beaumont, KY; one daughter-in-law, Penny Daniel, of Scottsville, KY; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.
Adene is also survived by a brother, Hollis Cloyd (Danetta) of Hamsphire, TN; two sisters, Arlene Downing and Sherry Poynter, both of of Tompkinsville, KY; sister-in-law, Faye Cloyd of Tompkinsville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Thomas Keith Daniel, her in-laws, Oral and Clio Daniel, a sister, Maggie Lee Hammer and brothers, James H., Edsel M., Tommie V., Reggie G. and Clifford "Poodle" Cloyd.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 8, 4-8 p.m., and Thursday morning after 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Adene's memory may be made to the Dementia Association or Bethlehem Cemetery.
