Ada (Guffey) Beasley, 94, of Hestand, KY passed away Saturday, October 9th, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN.
Ada was born in Clay County, TN on February 10, 1927, a daughter of the late Ova (Testament) and George Lee Guffey.
She was saved when she was 17 years old and has been a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church for 77 years.
On December 19, 1945, she married Edgar Lee Beasley, who precedes her in death.
Ada is survived by a son, Harold Beasley, and wife, Cora, of Indianapolis, IN; five daughters, Bernice Trobaugh, and husband, Dave, of Hestand, KY; Juanita Jenkins, and husband, Richard, of Westmoreland, TN; Roberta Trobaugh, of Hestand, KY;
Faye Smith, and husband, Jimmy, of Moss, TN; Mary McCauley, of Tompkinsville, KY;
daughter-in-law, Jennie Beasley, of Tompkinsville, KY; 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.
Ada is also survived by a sister, Lena Rose Jobe, of Tompkinsville, KY.
Other than her husband of 54 years, Edgar Lee Beasley and parents, Lee and Ova Guffey, she is preceded in death by a son, George Beasley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY with Bro. Billy Michael Stinson officiating. Burial to follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday, 2-8 PM, and Wednesday after 8:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
